Community and School Based Prevention

Prevention Education
Prevention Educators provide evidence-based alcohol and drug education at the elementary and middle school levels. Programs use age-appropriate language and concepts to build the foundation for substance-free living.
  • The All Stars program focuses on decision making skills, refusal techniques and education regarding the risks of alcohol, drugs and tobacco usage.

  • The Bully Busters program focuses on helping children learn to recognize bullying, respond appropriately in bullying situations, and assist others who are being bullied.

  • The Too Good program focuses on character education, peer relationships and conflict resolution, while using storytelling and puppets to engage the students.

PFCS currently offers Prevention Education at Garrison Union Free School, Mahopac Elementary Schools, and throughout the Putnam Valley Central School District.
